Summer Shells: Patterns Project

Color Swatches
My Hero Pattern consisted of many different shells. My goal was to achieve a fun summery look and used outlines and rough filled in shapes to create a drawing/coloring effect. Arranging the shells so that they fit together and lined up to repeat in the pattern was the most important and challenging part.
For the Secondary Pattern, I tried to focus on only using the pink colors from my palette, which is where I got inspiration for the title of the pattern: Pretty In Seashells. I pulled 4 different seashells from the Hero Pattern to include in this pattern to keep the consistency, but changed the colors and sizes of the seashells. I also increased the spacing compared to the Hero Pattern.
The Blender Pattern uses the sand dollar center shape from the Hero Pattern. I used the pattern tool in Illustrator to hex by column and increased the space between sand dollar shapes.
